Meetings takes place as always in the St Hugh's Church Hall, Ashby Road,
Scunthorpe, DN16 2AJ, starting at 7.30pm. This venue is opposite the Applegreen filling station on Ashby Road, near to the Brumby Crossroads traffic lights. There is a £2.50 entrance charge which includes a drink and biscuits at the mid-talk break.
 
There is a small, free car park at the Church and at the Old Brumby United Church opposite, or on the roadside nearby.

2026 talks programme

10 Sep: 'Communication in Conservation' by Paul Chibeba, Head of Communications for Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, with Sue Fysh (TBC).

Paul Chibeba will give an engaging insight into how the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust communicates its conservation work across the county, with updates on current projects and priorities. Sue Fysh may also join to share perspectives from the Humber area.


8 Oct: 'The Wildlife of the UK' by Mike Pickwell.

Photographer and naturalist Mike Pickwell will take us on a visual journey through Britain’s wildlife, showcasing some of the remarkable species and landscapes he has encountered.


12 Nov: 'Messingham Zoo' by Ian Gouldthorpe.

Ian Gouldthorpe returns to share the fascinating story of Messingham Zoo, exploring its history, characters, and the surprising wildlife connections behind this much loved local landmark.


10 Dec: 'Dormice' by Paul Manchester

Local ecologist Paul Manchester will introduce us to the secretive world of dormice, their ecology, the challenges they face, and the conservation work helping to protect them.
